Zuda Teachers > AaronI am totally inspired by Nature and by my students...
My first Yoga experience was in my old apartment back in 1996 when my girlfriend at the time showed me a couple of poses. I just remember being soooooo tight and shaking... Oh was I ever shaking.
Before that, I was pretty sick. I was 50 pounds heavier, addicted to smoking (pack a day habit), not to mention stressed out and strung out. Yoga has been my anchor and salvation—the catalyst that has helped me pull together all of the frayed ends of my life - body, mind and spirit... It has given me the tools that have helped me completely transform my life. I can come to it, day in, day out, be honest with myself and really feel where I’m at.
I’ve studied with Rusty Wells, Sharon Gannon and David Life, Doug Swenson, Les Leventhal Brian Kest and Simon Park. Thank God for all of the amazing teachers out there. I completed my vinyasa yoga certificate training with my teacher Destiny Goldsberry - in June 2008. I’m still learning. Every time I teach a class I learn from my students and hope that the process continues forever. My ultimate teacher is my own daily practice—daily.
In class, I’m kind of a drill sergeant... just kidding. I like to keep things fun, down to earth and inspiring. Don’t get me wrong I teach a challenging class but I like to approach it with love and compassion taking you through the full range of sensation. I will push you in all directions so that you can find and develop your own deep awareness
I am totally inspired by Nature and by my students. I love it when one says she can’t do a pose and then tries and floats right into it. You should see the amazing glow when she gets out.
I’m the original “Encino Man”, born in Encino, CA. (Years before the movie with Pauly Shore.) I’ve always been into music, art and nature and when I’m not practicing yoga or teaching, you can find me drawing and being creative, watching some local music, playing guitar or hiking with my peeps. During the day, I work as a graphic designer for a candy company. What else…I’m a magician! Well sort of, more of an amateur magician. I like to entertain with prestidigitation (sleight of hand). I’m working on levitation and getting pretty close. I can already float a dollar bill--soon it’ll be me.
Up next, I’m heading to school to become a massage therapist as it’s in my heart to help people. What better way to do that then to teach people yoga and give them a massage?
May I care enough, to love enough to share enough to let others become what they can be.
