Zuda Teachers > TylerLife is such an amazing teacher...

I found vinyasa at a time in my life when I was not feeling love or pride for myself.  Yoga helped me work out many erroneous mental suggestions that were showing up negatively in my body and life.

I had just finished up my collegiate swimming career at the National Championships, and I was looking for a new challenge.  I found Bikram yoga and developed an on and off practice for 2 years.  When Zuda opened, I fell in love after my first class ( Rachel teaching--AMK, Erica, Jessie and Kris practicing with me) and I knew, in my body and soul, that this was for me.  I wanted yoga to be a major part of my life and work.

Physically I love the benefits of being strong and flexible, but the biggest change comes in my thinking and how I relate with others.  It shows up in my overall way of being in the world.

My main teacher is Baron Baptiste.  I have taken 4 teacher trainings with him, including one where I assisted and supported others going through his bootcamp.  I also learn from each teacher at Zuda, both on and off the mat and look forward to being a part of more and more international yoga retreats.

Off the mat is where so much of yoga is practiced, in living in, and being a part of the community.  I live for connection with others.  I compliment my yoga practice with swimming, which is very much a moving meditation for me.

I love good food and wine with great friends, and I love music and dancing—flying across the country to attend music festivals with hundreds of thousands of people all getting down with their bad selves!
