Lama Marut - South Lake Tahoe Retreat
How Yoga Works
September 12-14th
A Weekend to Immerse Yourself in Your Yoga
How do you extend the feeling of bliss you have at the end of class? How can you let go of the past and have more acceptance and love for yourself? How do you lead a happier life?
These questions get to the heart of yoga.
Our retreat in Tahoe offers you the opportunity to grasp the full scope ofyoga philosophy through talks with a direct student of the Dali Lama.
We’ll go beyond the physical practice to show you all that yoga encompasses.
Of course, this being a Zuda retreat, you know we’re going to do things a little differently.
We’ve invited a very special teacher, Lama Marut. He has a deep knowledge of yoga—being an ordained Buddhist Monk, Ph.D. in the History of Religions, professor of comparative religion for 15 years and a Sanskrit translator with many published articles and books—yet his plain speaking style just might have you double checking his orange robes.
Leave it to us to bring you a down to earth, coffee drinking, funny as he** monk who knows his stuff. He reveals the wisdom of the ancient yogic texts, makes them understandable and relevant to your life today. And he does so with humor, love and inspiration.
Take time for yourself and come live simply on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Nourish your soul, practice daily yoga, meditate and eat healthily.
