Nick names for Rosa Rosalez
When I do yoga, every time, without fail, I bow down to my extraordinary life and I acknowledge my own infinite and divine nature. When I am on my mat, I consider the tough question: Am I being who I was born to be?
3 words to describe your teaching style
Graceful. Powerful. Heart-full.
Life before yoga
Work hard, play hard. No balance. No foundation. Aimless effort.
Life after yoga
It is peaceful. I float in my new life, taking on challenges like swimming through waves, instead of being bashed against the rocks. Well, sometimes I crash against the rocks too, who am I kidding? But yoga gives me resiliency to rise above it, again and again.
It’s not a secret. I love Flaming Hot Cheetos. The red kind.
What do you love about yourself
I love my boundless and courageous heart. I love to fall in love with life, nature, strangers, good friends, my family, and the people I serve with the work that I do off of the mat.
What is on your bedside table
The Four Desires by Rod Stryker and Meditations from the Mat by Rolf Gates … and Game of Thrones
What impact do you want to leave on the world
I want to help people find freedom from physical, mental and emotional prisons.
What it is for you: luck, karma or God
If you were an animal, what would you be
You’re on an island and can bring 3 things. What are they?
A stand up paddleboard, a good book and some Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
