You've heard yoga will make you more calm, flexible, focused and reduce stress; here is how you begin!

After this workshop, students will be able to participate in any of our basic classes with confidence.
Yoga is appropriate for just about anyone. You don't need to be flexible or be able to quiet the mind. You simply need the desire to show up and do your best.
We’ll guide you, step-by-step, as you discover this wonderful practice. A great way to begin is with our simple and friendly Yoga 101 Workshop. Each workshop covers:
* Brief background on what yoga is, in general, and the style we teach
* Simple breathing exercises that are common to our practice
* Foundation yoga postures and how to adapt them to your abilities and needs
* How to link postures together in our wonderful vinyasa
* Time for your questions
While it is not required, we strongly recommend this Yoga 101 Workshop to help you begin your journey from the most enjoyable and empowered place possible. Chances are, you will end up with a new set of yoga-friends along the way.
To further your understanding of yoga after this workshop we suggest, attending at least 10 Basics Classes. before taking the Back to Basics Workshop which will help you feel comfortable in the All Level Classes.
